Celebrating Year 11 Success at DRHS

Celebrating Year 11 Success at DRHS

Denmark Road are again celebrating an exceptional set of GCSE results, with students achieving some of the very best outcomes in the school’s history. Two thirds of all grades awarded were at the very highest levels, a reflection of the hard work, resilience and commitment shown by our young people.

Headteacher, Claire Giblin, said: “We are absolutely thrilled with this year’s GCSE results. These achievements are the result of dedication from our students, the outstanding teaching of our staff, and the unwavering support from families. To see such a high proportion of top grades across the cohort is truly inspiring. I am particularly proud of the fact that a third of our students have achieved an average of grade 8 and above across all their subjects – a phenomenal accomplishment.”

This success has also led to a record number of applications to Denmark Road’s Sixth Form, which is once again oversubscribed. Students will now progress to an ambitious programme of A Levels, ensuring they are well-prepared for the next stage of their academic journey.

“Our Sixth Form is thriving, and it is a joy to welcome so many of our Year 11 students, alongside new joiners, into this exciting next chapter,” added Mr Yau, Assistant Headteacher of Sixth Form.
