Hiya! My name is Lexie, and I studied English Literature, Politics, History, and an EPQ. I enjoyed my time at Denmark Road immensely, gaining opportunities through the school such as the Edge programme, Boost, and being a part of a multitude of clubs.
During year 12, I led Pride Society, and attended Debate Club, participated within the Carnegie Book Award Club, worked with Year 7s to provide a homework club on a Friday afternoon, and became a Library Prefect. Later in the year I became a House Captain for Mynd (something I have thoroughly enjoyed throughout my later Sixth Form career) and became the only student to complete the two-year long Edge programme within a singular academic year. Within Year 13, I developed the Law Society with my friend Maria, and worked with peers to develop the Winter Formal – an event for Sixth Form students to laugh and celebrate the new school year with friends!
Outside of school, I attended many extracurricular events – ranging from joining a university mentorship programme known as Zero Gravity, to gaining a first-aid course, to having a summer post at a local law firm, to attending Glasgow’s Common Law Summer School through the Sutton Trust. I love exploring opportunities inside and outside of school and have had the privilege to share them with fellow students through speeches, presentations, and my involvement in clubs.
Currently I am studying Law with Politics at Royal Holloway, Londn.
